Brevard Public Schools is seeking a District Field Operations Manager for the Food & Nutrition Services department. The role is a 12-month contract with 8 hours per day and a starting salary based on the district pay plan (Grade 24: $65,774.25–$81,162.58 annually).

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong supervisory experience. Qualifications include a degree in business or related fields and multiple ways to substitute experience for education.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with four additional years of supervisory experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Another four years supervisory experience in Child Nutrition Programs may substitute for the degree with approval.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Nutrition, Public Health, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
• Minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience in a food service, hospitality, nutrition, or related operational environment SUBSTITUTION:
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited educational institution and an additional four (4) years of relevant supervisory experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree with the approval of the Director. OR
• A minimum four (4) years of experience as a Child Nutrition Program Supervisor managing multiple school food service sites simultaneously, plus an additional four (4) years of experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree. This substitution requires the approval of the Director, with concurrence of the Cabinet Level. PREFERRED/DESIRED:
• MA/MAS in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Nutrition, Public Health or related field from an accredited educational institution
• Experience in the operation or oversight of USDA Child Nutrition Programs CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING: REQUIRED:
• Valid Florida Driver’s license.
• Food Protection Manager Certification within 6 months.
