Qualifications

• Promotion requires two years in the title of Assistant Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, or three years in custodial supervision.
• Open Competitive requires an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a closely related field and four years of supervisory experience.
• Special Requirement: valid New York State driver’s license and related certificates.
• Fingerprint and criminal history background check as required by SAVE legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administrative direction and supervision of buildings and grounds operations and personnel.
• Develop policies to ensure preventive maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment.
• Direct, train and evaluate subordinate staff to meet program goals.
• Maintain records and reports related to operations and programs supervised.
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting for upcoming years.
