Job summary

Orleans-Niagara BOCES is seeking a Head Custodian to supervise custodial staff and manage cleaning and maintenance across a large school facility. You will plan and supervise building-related activities, ensure heating and safety systems are functioning, and coordinate with school leadership to meet standards.

The role requires prior supervisory experience, knowledge of cleaning practices, and the ability to read plans and supervise contractors when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalency and three years of building cleaning and minor maintenance experience, with at least one year in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign cleaning and maintenance work to staff.
• Inspect buildings to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards; recommend improvements.
• Supervise heating and other building systems operation and maintenance.
