Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a District Facilities Foreman to oversee operations, maintenance, and repair of school district facilities, including campuses and athletic facilities. The role supervises maintenance and landscaping staff and ensures facilities are safe and well-maintained for students and staff.

You will coordinate daily activities, manage work orders, and oversee contracts with vendors, while promoting preventive maintenance and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training in facilities preferred.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Experience with hand and power tools for carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work.
• Ability to supervise others and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft and Google Suites.

Responsibilities

• Directs and performs HVAC, plumbing and basic electrical maintenance.
• Plan and schedule daily and weekly maintenance for staff and trades.
• Supervise maintenance and landscaping personnel.
• Coordinate repairs and campus facility activities.
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
