Job summary

24 Hour Fitness in Seattle is seeking a District Repair and Maintenance Manager to oversee repair and maintenance operations across buildings and equipment within a district. You will manage a team of Technicians and Specialists and partner with RVPs, District Managers, and Club General Managers to uphold facilities standards.

You will lead on-site support, oversee budgets, and coordinate with external vendors while ensuring safety and SOP compliance across multiple clubs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of facilities/engineering management experience.
• Experience leading in a multi-unit environment.
• Knowledge of scheduling and staffing facilities maintenance teams and personnel.
• Strong interpersonal, motivational, communication, organization, and training skills.
• Highly organized and able to handle a multi-task environment independently.
• High level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and an excellent work ethic.
• Diligence and a strong understanding of liability issues, general safety in a publicly operating business.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel).
• Ability to manage and track work orders for multiple locations through a work order management system.
• Ability to manage a budget and understand basic financial implications of work being performed.
• Knowledge and understanding of safety procedures, prioritizing member and team member safety at all times is required.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop a team of Technicians and Specialists to meet district needs.
• Review and approve time, labor, and expense management.
• Assign and elevate technical concerns to Specialists for troubleshooting.
• Oversee consistency and execution of tasks across facilities.
• Lead janitorial staff and oversee cleanliness pilots.
• Conduct weekly facilities management meetings for status updates and coaching.
• Provide technical guidance on facilities issues and projects.
• Schedule priority focus and ensure SOP compliance.
• Demonstrate proper operation and maintenance of interior and exterior areas within leased clubs.
• Communicate maintenance needs across levels and coordinate with General Managers, Technicians, and Specialists.
• Manage workflow in the work order system and coordinate with the Order Processing Rep (OPR) for purchasing.
• As a player-coach, perform repairs and maintenance in clubs alongside staff.
• Coordinate Technical Resources (Power Washers, Lifts, Floor Scrubbers, etc).
• Schedule regular facility maintenance routines (Pools, PM, drains, HVAC).
• Manage budget, purchasing, and vendor expenses per company guidelines.
• Bid and coordinate outside vendors for larger projects.
