Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math required.
• Equivalency of four additional years’ experience in operations management or industrial engineering with a high school diploma/GED or unrelated Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Advises and plans district engineering/operational plans to optimize efficiencies.
• Identifies facility inefficiencies and conducts root-cause analysis to deliver on-site improvements.
• Facilitates optimal use of dock operational systems and solves corrective actions.
• Creates Network Alignment Plans and determines capacity planning.
• Prepares volume projections for short/long term horizons.
• Oversees district changes (spin-offs, expansions, relocations).
• Forecasts labor and project staffing needs for current and future periods.
• Evaluates hub/linehaul performance and labor standards to reduce costs.
• Develops contingency plans for abnormal events.
• Trains management on operational processes and procedures.
