Job summary

Lompoc Unified School District in California is seeking an Officer, District Technology to lead the district's information technology services. The role focuses on supporting student learning, empowering staff, and improving operational effectiveness through scalable technology and strong cybersecurity.

The successful candidate will supervise IT staff, manage networks and devices, and coordinate with principals and departments to align technology with instructional goals and district priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• Four years of increasingly responsible experience in information technology services.
• One year working in a supervisory capacity in information technology services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, control and direct the District’s information technology functions and committees; assure efficient and cost-effective technology operations.
• Plan, direct, coordinate and review the work plan for assigned staff; assign work activities and programs; evaluate work products.
• Supervise installation, maintenance and repair of networks and devices; oversee district-wide technology integration in teaching and learning.
• Coordinate with principals and supervisors regarding technology needs and solutions.
• Promote infusion of technology with instructional practices and district priorities.
• Serve as a member of the district administrative team and contribute to strategic plans.
