Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a District Director‑Security Operations and Compliance to lead district-wide safety and security compliance. You will guide policy development, ensure reporting accuracy, and serve as the SME on federal/state requirements, including the Clery Act and VAWA.

You will collaborate with college security leadership, manage training programs, and coordinate with law enforcement to strengthen campus safety and incident response across the District.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in law enforcement, public safety, security operations.
• Management experience in security operations preferred.
• Certified Clery Compliance Officer (CCCO) preferred.
• Knowledge of the Clery Act, VAWA, FERPA, and related federal/state laws.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the District as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Leads District-wide safety and security projects, research, data analysis, and system-wide compliance initiatives.
• Develops, disseminates and trains staff on new district-wide security policies and regulations.
• Evaluates operations to identify risk factors and regulatory requirements and prioritize security initiatives.
• Directs compliance with Clery Act and prepares mandated reports across colleges.
• Oversees district-wide Clery Act compliance including crime reporting and annual security reports.
• Audits reporting practices and trains college leadership on compliance requirements.
• Manages CSA training and compliance programs for Safety personnel.
• Monitors security plans and policies to improve safety and incident response.
