Qualifications

• Requires a B.A. in a related field with 3–4 years law enforcement experience and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms.
• Knowledge of relevant state statutes and local ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints and assist in solving crimes; inform students, faculty and staff of safety regulations.
• Second in command in the absence of the Director of Security; supervise security operations at a satellite location if needed.
• Review incident reports and ensure required follow-up actions; report to Director of Security.
• Ensure safety and security of all persons; enforce security policies district-wide.
• May participate in recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, discipline and discharge of security personnel.
• Assist in planning staffing and directing security staff; provide feedback for improvement.
