Job summary

Fairfield Community Schools seeks a Chief Academic Officer to provide district-wide leadership for curriculum, instruction, assessment, technology integration, professional learning, and student achievement across PreK–12. The role collaborates with the Superintendent and district leadership to elevate teaching and learning and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational leadership or related field.
• Five years of successful district-level leadership experience.
• Valid Iowa administrative license.
• Experience with curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student achievement systems.
• Experience leading PLCs/Collaborative Learning Teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide district-level leadership for curriculum, instruction, assessment and student achievement.
• Lead development and evaluation of a coherent PreK–12 instructional program.
• Support instructional coaches and improve teaching and learning.
• Oversee district curriculum development, alignment and technology integration.
• Develop and monitor district academic goals and KPIs.
