Cleveland Metropolitan School District seeks a Chief Academic Officer to lead strategic academics aligned with the Building Brighter Futures plan. The role oversees Teaching & Learning, Student Services, and Schools to ensure high-quality instruction and equity for CMSD scholars.

The CAO will manage a large team, drive data-driven improvements, and report to the CEO, partnering with the Office of Schools to advance analytics and program design district-wide.

Formación

• Track record of improving student outcomes through data-driven decision-making.
• At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in K-12 education.
• Master's degree in education required; Doctoral degree preferred.
• Experience managing large teams and holding leaders accountable.
• Commitment to public education and equity for all scholars.
• Ohio Administrator License preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Building Brighter Futures implementation and oversee enrollment in advanced coursework.
• Ensure coherence across academic programming including curriculum and college/career pathways.
• Drive continuous improvement aligned with district goals and guardrails.
• Oversee budgets for the Academics Division and staff resource planning.
• Represent the CEO and Cabinet in matters related to academics and school operations.
• Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance district priorities.
