Job summary

South East Education Cooperative Consortium seeks an Athletics/Activities/Activity Sponsor for a 12-month position starting October 1, 2026. The role reports to the Superintendent and is open to WPS employees, certified or classified.

The sponsor will manage the district's communications, including social media, newsletters, and website content, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at events throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Clear, accurate writing and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms and website content management.
• Discretion due to access to student, staff, and district information.
• Ability to meet deadlines during the school day and at events.

Responsibilities

• Manage district social media accounts and post on a consistent schedule.
• Produce a District newsletter, pulling content from all four buildings.
• Maintain the district communications calendar.
• Support website content accuracy alongside the Technology/SIS Administrator.
• Assist the Superintendent in distributing time-sensitive and crisis communications.
• Maintain the district's registry of official and team/activity social media accounts.
• Apply the district's content standards and confirm the current student directory-information opt-out list before publishing content.
• Track basic engagement and report on what is reaching families and what is not.
