Job Description

The Coordinator - Athletics and Activities is responsible for the leadership, organization, and supervision of all extracurricular programs across our K-8 district. We are looking for a dynamic leader who believes that student engagement outside the classroom is vital to academic success and social‑emotional growth. This role ensures that every student has access to safe, inclusive, and enriching opportunities in sports, clubs, and the arts.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a comprehensive K-8 extracurricular program including interscholastic sports, intramurals, and special interest clubs.
  • Ensure all programs align with district goals regarding equity, inclusion, and student wellness.
  • Manage the annual budget for athletics and activities.
  • Coordinate facility scheduling for practices, games, and club meetings across multiple school sites.
  • Manage the procurement, inventory, and maintenance of athletic equipment and uniforms.
  • Arrange transportation for away games and off‑site events.
  • Recruit, interview, and recommend coaches and club advisors for hire.
  • Organize professional development regarding student safety, concussion protocols, and positive coaching techniques.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for building administrators, feeder districts, and community partners.
  • Ensure strict adherence to state athletic association rules, Title IX requirements, and district safety policies.
  • Maintain the district's "Activities Calendar" and oversee social media/web updates for athletic news and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications

  • Proven track record of managing budgets and coordinating complex schedules.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency in using Google Workspace applications.
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience.
  • Board of Education paid TRS.
  • Annual Administrator Academy provided by the District.
