Job summary

Anova Education in Worcester, MA seeks a Behavior Specialist to provide system-wide behavioral consultation and support for Tier I–III interventions across the district.

You will lead professional development, collaborate with Child Study and other specialists, attend IEP meetings, and help align social-emotional learning so students can access learning and succeed academically. This is a full-time, collaborative, multidisciplinary role.

Qualifications

• DESE certification as a School Adjustment Counselor is required.
• Master’s Degree in Counseling is required.
• Licensed as LMHC or LCSW is required.
• Five to seven years of successful therapeutic experience in a public school setting is required.
• CPI Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• System-wide behavioral consultation to promote students’ success through targeted interventions.
• Meet with school-based teams to monitor and implement behavioral intervention plans and data collection.
• Provide ongoing training and professional development in adaptive behaviors, FBAs, BIPs, SEL, EF, anger management, and trauma.
• Collaborate with Child Study staff and school-based teams to promote SEL framework.
• Attend IEP Team meetings to review data and assist student transitions to new placements.
• Support transitions to Central Mass Collaborative and district alternative programs.
• Ensure equal educational opportunity for all students.

Education

Master’s Degree in Counseling

DESE certification as a School Adjustment Counselor

Licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC) or (LCSW)

CPI Certification

Five to seven years of therapeutic experience
