Job summary

Worcester Public Schools is seeking a Behavior Specialist to provide system-wide behavioral consultation and support for Tier I-III interventions. The role works with school teams to implement and monitor plans, deliver PD on adaptive behaviors, FBAs, and SEL, and promote inclusive practices district-wide.

The position requires DESE certification, a counseling master's, LMHC or LCSW license, CPI certification, and 5–7 years of relevant experience in public schools. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• DESE School Adjustment Counselor certification is required.
• Master's Degree in Counseling is required.
• Licensed LMHC or LCSW is required.
• 5-7 years of therapeutic experience in a public school setting.
• CPI Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• System-wide behavioral consultation to promote student success.
• Meet with school teams to monitor and implement behavioral intervention plans.
• Provide ongoing training in adaptive behaviors, FBAs, BIPs and SEL.
• Collaborate with Child Study and other specialists to promote SEL district-wide.
• Attend IEP/TEAM meetings to review data and support transitions.
• Support transitions to Central Mass Collaborative and district programs.
• Ensure equal educational opportunity for all students.
