Job summary

Nutrien, a world‑scale crop inputs provider, seeks a Superintendent of Distribution & Traffic to lead daily shipping, distribution, and dispatch for ammonia and urea. You will coordinate railcar and truck loading, ensure PSM and hazmat compliance, and drive improvements in routing and service quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 5+ years in chemical distribution, and strong knowledge of hazmat regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Certification in Transportation Management or Hazardous Materials Handling.
Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing distribution.
Strong knowledge of DOT/FRA hazardous materials regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead daily shipping, distribution, and dispatch for ammonia and urea products.
Coordinate railcar and truck loading schedules with production and delivery timelines.
Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines and hazardous materials regulations.
Develop relationships with rail and trucking providers for timely, cost-effective service.
Monitor shipments in real time and resolve delays; collaborate with plant, warehouse, and customer service teams.
Conduct performance appraisals and set development goals for direct reports.
