Job summary

Calibre Scientific Group is seeking a Distribution Team Lead to oversee onsite shipping and receiving activities in Ohio. You will manage daily distribution operations, coach staff, and ensure compliance with DOT and IATA regulations while maintaining accurate paperwork and timely deliveries.

The role emphasizes supervising a distribution team, enforcing SOPs, and training new hires to uphold safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 months related experience acceptable.
• HazMat/air cargo training (IATA, DGR, DOT) preferred; ongoing refreshers required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day functions of the distribution department.
• Coach, train, and develop distribution associates.
• Ensure shipments meet regulations (DOT, IATA) and customer requirements.
• Verify shipments are properly packaged for safe arrival.
• Confirm incoming products are inspected and paperwork processed.
• Communicate with carriers for clearance and holds.
• Ensure timely shipments to meet requirements.
• Package, ship, and receive goods as needed; streamline operations.
• Maintain up-to-date SOPs and work instructions.
• Lead regular safety discussions with the team.
• Train new employees in shipping and receiving.
