Job summary

5.11 is seeking a Distribution Team Lead in California to oversee day-to-day distribution center operations and help the team meet production and shipping goals. You will work with DC leadership, providing hands-on support across receiving, picking, packing, replenishment, and shipping while coordinating workflow and training team members.

You will help maintain a safe, organized work environment and drive 5S/continuous improvement initiatives, including staffing coordination and attendance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume distribution/warehouse.
• Experience supporting or leading team members in a distribution environment preferred.
• Familiarity with RF units and WMS is highly desirable.
• Basic computer skills to access production reports and inventory records.
• Strong communication skills with leadership.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on approach to support the team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor conveyor and picking activity to maintain product flow and prevent backlogs.
• Monitor replenishment, picking, and put-away processes during the shift.
• Coordinate staffing across departments based on workload.
• Collaborate with Team Leads and DC leadership to support workflow.
• Assist with coordinating break and lunch schedules.
• Track attendance and departures.
• Support Ecommerce and Retail fulfillment including Put to Store/Put to Wall.
• Process waves and distribute work to the floor.
• Research discrepancies and identify where errors occurred.
• Separate will-call and truck shipments and palletize orders as needed.
• Track air and overnight shipments to meet carrier cutoffs.
• Identify process issues and communicate to DC leadership.
• Move orders using pallet jacks and carts to packing/shipping.
• Train team members on processes and expectations.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
