Distribution Team Lead, 2nd Shift (Warehouse Coordinator) - Moorpark, CA

We have an opportunity for a Distribution Team Lead to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will support team members in Distribution Center. Ensure that Distribution is shipping accordingly to plan. Ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost control.

You will:

  • Ensure that the employees are trained and performing all tasks in a safe and productive manner.
  • Ensure that the Department is set up correctly before the start of the shift and before every break.
  • Monitor for proper start-up.
  • Verify that the team members are following standard work.
  • Provide training, classes, tools and skills for team members to be able to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure 100% completion of assignments
  • Identify root cause and implement corrective actions for identified problems.
  • Monitor quality of orders to ensure compliance with established standards and product performance levels.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively both oral and in writing with all levels of the organization.
  • Responsible to implement Lean principles in his/her department(s).
  • Must be able to perform all the operations in his/her department(s) in Takt time.
  • Fill in when team members must leave the line.
  • Track production by filling out the hour-by-hour chart.
  • Help support good housekeeping.
  • Watch for and identify safety and ergonomic issues, get them fixed quickly.
  • Train new team members.
  • Assign work when the line is down for extended period of time.
  • Measure, Monitor and Sustain Quality/Delivery/cost Metrics and 5-S.
  • Conduct ergonomic exercises at start of shift.
  • Uphold Handbook/policies.
  • Recognize exemplary performance and address poor performance issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to create a highly effective team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism
  • Strong sense of business ethics
  • SAP experience or similar ERP experience
  • PC literacy: Windows, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Able to lead team problem-solving efforts
  • Steel-toed footwear is required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years' experience

Language Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) required.

Compensation:

  • For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated hourly base pay range will be from $19.00 - $22.00/hour, DOE, plus 8% shift premium while working on 2nd shift. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
  • $1000 Sign-On Bonus payable after 60 days of employment (no unexcused absences)

Shift:

  • 2nd shift: starting between 10am- 2pm, working 10 - 12 hours per day. Need to be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
