Job summary

Exelon seeks a qualified Distribution System Operator to manage switching, tagging and restoration across the electric distribution network. You will coordinate real-time operations, monitor SCADA, and lead outage response to maintain safe, reliable service.

This role requires shifting schedules, emergency readiness, and a solid understanding of distribution system protections. Bachelor's degree preferred; strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of Distributor System Operator 1 equivalent experience.
• Ability to work extended hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
• OCC training completed with knowledge of operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies to maintain system integrity, reliability and security.
• Gather and analyze data to assess switching requests.
• Direct and supervise electrical switching and safety tagging.
• Notify personnel for outages, emergencies and actions needed.
• Maintain system voltages and loadings within acceptable limits.
• Keep supervisors informed of abnormal conditions and outages.
• Maintain SCADA status and mapping accuracy.
• Maintain operating logs and interruption reports.
