Undisclosed is seeking a Distribution & Supply Chain Manager to lead our warehouse and logistics network, including 3PL interactions, international and domestic inbound/outbound movement, and customs compliance. Job description

The Distribution & Supply Chain Manager will have broad responsibility for our distribution and supply chain operations, including our Company-operated warehouse, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), international and domestic logistics, Customs, inventory and supply planning, product management coordination, customer order fulfillment, distribution costs, and customer compliance.

This is a hands-on management position. We need someone who can effectively manage through managers and supervisors but who also understands the operational details sufficiently to identify problems, challenge costs and processes, and ensure issues are actually resolved.

Primary Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the operation, productivity, cost, safety, inventory accuracy, capacity, and performance of our 42,000-square-foot local warehouse.
• Manage and hold accountable our 3PL providers for cost, inventory accuracy, service levels, capacity, billing accuracy, and operational performance.
• Oversee domestic logistics, including managing drayage, trucking, LTL, FTL, parcel, freight forwarders, customs broker, and other transportation providers.
• Maintain visibility and control over product moving from origin through importation, warehousing, inventory allocation, and final customer delivery.
• Oversee inventory and supply planning, including forecasting, replenishment, inventory availability, aging/excess inventory, and warehouse-capacity planning.
• Provide management oversight and coordination across Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Product Management, and Inventory & Supply Planning.
• Manage and reduce distribution costs, including freight, warehouse, 3PL, storage, handling, labor, detention, demurrage, and accessorial expenses.
• Review 3PL and logistics-provider charges and establish controls to identify overbilling, incorrect charges, and unnecessary expenses.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, completely, and on time.
• Ensure compliance with customer routing guides, labeling, EDI/ASN, shipping, appointment, and other retailer requirements.
• Take ownership of aggressively reducing and, wherever reasonably possible, eliminating preventable customer chargebacks.
• Identify root causes of chargebacks and operational failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Hold 3PLs, carriers, and other service providers accountable when their errors result in costs or customer chargebacks.
• Work closely with IT/Systems on WMS, ERP, EDI, inventory accuracy, reporting, and process improvements.
• Establish and monitor meaningful KPIs for warehouse productivity, 3PL performance, transportation, inventory, customer service, chargebacks, and costs.
• Develop managers and staff and establish clear expectations, accountability, and follow-through throughout the operation.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with approximately 8–10+ years of progressive distribution, supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related experience, including at least 5 years of management experience.

The candidate should have meaningful experience managing a Company-operated warehouse as well as outside 3PL providers. Experience in consumer products, wholesale/retail distribution, importing, or another high-volume distribution environment is strongly preferred.

Strong experience should include international and domestic logistics, warehouse operations and inventory control, 3PL management and cost control, inventory planning and replenishment, major retailer fulfillment and compliance, customer chargeback reduction, WMS/ERP/EDI systems, vendor management, and operational KPIs.

A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred, although substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
