Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States is seeking a General Manager III - Distribution to lead warehouse operations and strategic initiatives across facilities. You will drive cost optimization, productivity, safety, and service levels while managing a diverse team of Operations Managers and staff.

You will oversee vendor relations, implement WMS-driven improvements, and maintain strong customer interfaces to ensure satisfaction and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management experience preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations (receiving, storing, shipping).
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Lead and motivate Operations Managers and staff; foster a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; maintain a safe environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory and performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services per the commercial agreement.
• Prepare/analyze reports on warehouse performance and key metrics.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee the site's P&L and drive profitability and customer retention.
• Prepare and present Monthly/ Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR).

The General Manager III role has a national salary range of $95,000 - $120,000.

Job Description:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while also developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

Required Education and Experience

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience, required
