Job summary

Client in California is seeking a Supervisor to lead the second shift at a new 350K sq ft distribution and fulfillment center for a multi-client 3PL. The role focuses on guiding a team of roughly 10 associates, training and mentoring staff, and achieving service and efficiency goals.

The candidate will drive labor planning, uphold company values, promote safety, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in leading leaders in a distribution and/or fulfillment center.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated history of continuous and process improvement accomplishments.
• Solid history of developing other leaders to a promotional level.
• Working knowledge of fast-paced order-fulfillment with light automation.

My client is seeking a Supervisor to lead the second shift at their new 350K Sq Ft distribution and fulfillment center. This will be a start-up situation for a multi-client 3PL. The DC will process mostly retail and wholesale orders. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Leading a team of roughly 10 associates in a non-union two-shift environment.
• Being responsible for training, developing, mentoring, guiding associates.
• Meeting daily/weekly/monthly/annual goals for distribution customer service.
• Planning and managing labor and production hours.
• Being a cultural leader for the company’s values and mission.
• Promoting a safety-first culture.
• Finding and leading lean continuous improvement projects throughout the supply chain stream.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will possess most of the following traits:

• 2+ years of experience in leading leaders in a distribution and/or fulfillment center.
• A Bachelors and preferably a Master’s degree.
• A demonstrated history of continuous and process improvement accomplishments.
• A solid history of developing other leaders to a promotional level.
• Working knowledge of systems such as WMS, TMS, and excel. Further beneficial experience working in a fast passed order-fulfillment business with light automation.
