Job summary

Highline Aftermarket is seeking a DC Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, distribution and transport to support efficient customer service. The role requires hands-on floor work and strong leadership to ensure smooth operations.

The position emphasizes optimization, effective communication with partners, and training of staff, with proficiency in RF scanning and WMS systems to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to execute initiative with minimal guidance and accomplish goals.
  • Broad working knowledge of distribution center processes and operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of RF scanner and WMS systems functionality.
  • Must be able to train, develop, and provide direction to staff.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a leadership team.
  • Demonstrated leadership decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Work additional hours during high volume periods to meet warehouse objectives.
  • One year of team lead experience.
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Outlook) proficiency.
  • Operation of Forklifts and/or Reach Truck is desired.

Job description

Reports to: Distribution Center Warehouse Manager
FLSA status: Exempt
Department: Operations – Service Champ
Salary Range - $65k - $75k Dependent on Experience
Summary/Objective

The DC Supervisor plans, organizes and monitors the warehouse including requisitioning, receiving, storing, stocking, distributing and transporting a wide variety of materials and supplies. The DC Supervisor ensures smooth consistent operation, so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper warehouse departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy customer requirements. The position oversees and supervises the warehouse associates.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse
  • Capacity to analyze operational practices and apply to daily production requirements
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with business partners, warehouse associates and management
  • Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse mission in an effective and efficient manner
  • Leads a team of employees in a technical, fast paced deadline driven environment that emphasizes process automation
  • Takes an active role in warehouse improvement projects and the change management process.
  • Plans and coordinates daily tasks with management. Assist with training employees. Monitor and evaluate performance of warehouse associates.
  • This is a working position; you’ll be on the floor working. "Blue jean job"; assist in the accomplishment of daily workload as needed including operating a Reach Truck.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages employees of the warehouse and is responsible for the performance management of the employees.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Shift Required

This is a day shift salaried position. Candidate would be expected to be on site prior to the start of the shift to set up until work is complete for the day. Monday through Friday.

Required Education and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
