Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a Distribution Operations Leader to oversee regional distribution ensuring safe, on-time delivery. You will manage a large fleet and a team of drivers and mechanics, align regulatory standards, and drive efficiency across routes and processes.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to meet business objectives and sustain high service levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation or distribution management with leadership of drivers and mechanics.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership to motivate a diverse team toward high performance.
• Strategic planning to optimize distribution efficiency and reduce costs.
• Proficient in logistics software and data tools with strong communication.
• Excellent organization to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and build customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional distribution operations to ensure safe, efficient, on-time deliveries.
• Manage fleet of 25 tractors and 25 trailers, optimizing utilization and costs.
• Lead a team of 48 drivers and 3 mechanics to maintain safety and service excellence.
• Uphold regulatory compliance and company safety/environmental standards.
• Monitor 5,400 deliveries and over 519,000 miles annually to maintain performance.
• Develop and execute strategies for route optimization and process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align distribution with business goals and coordinate maintenance.

Job description

• Youwill oversee regional distribution operations to ensure products aredelivered safely, efficiently, and on time overseeing regional distributionoperations


• In this role you will manage a fleet of twenty-five tractors and twenty-five trailers,optimizing utilization to meet delivery schedules and reduce operationalcosts managing fleet utilization


• You shall lead and develop a team of (48) drivers and (3) mechanics,fostering a high-performance culture centered on safety and serviceexcellence leading drivers and mechanics


• Additionally uphold strict adherence to transportation regulations andcompany policies related to safety and environmental standards ensuringregulatory compliance


• Furthermore, monitor and coordinate five thousand four hundred twentydeliveries and over five hundred nineteen thousand miles driven annually tomaintain efficiency and reliability monitoring delivery performance


• You are expected to develop and execute strategies for operationalimprovements including route optimization and process enhancements drivingoperational improvements


• Lastly collaborate cross functionally with other departments to aligndistribution efforts with business objectives and customer needs whilecoordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime collaborating acrossdepartments

• You are proficient in logistics management software and data analysis toolswith excellent written and verbal communication skills using logistics anddata tools effectively


• Lastly bring strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks,schedules, and priorities in a fast paced environment while building strongcustomer relationships demonstrating organizational excellence
