Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program is required.
• PE license or equivalent engineering credential is an alternative.
• Minimum of three years of engineering experience is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel; able to learn GISView and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Create Engineering Practices, Material Specifications, Field Guides, and Construction Standards for distribution line projects.
• Analyze standards and equipment issues and recommend solutions and alternate design options.
• Review manufacturer drawings for compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate Working Groups to ensure best practices and available tools are used.
• Develop training materials with Workforce Development for end users.
• Provide technical support and leadership for Distribution Standards initiatives.
