Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Distribution Standards engineer to develop engineering practices, materials specifications, field guides, and construction standards for distribution line projects. You will review drawings for conformity with specifications and coordinate cross-functional groups to apply best practices and available tools.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree required; PE license or equivalent considered.
Minimum of three years engineering experience.
Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn GISView and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Create Engineering Practices, Material Specifications, Field Guides, and Construction Standards for distribution line projects.
Review drawings for compliance with specifications.
Coordinate Working Groups to ensure best practices and tools are utilized.
Provide training materials and support to end users across operating companies.
Support regulatory and industry initiatives and contribute to asset management processes.
