Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack, and ship blood products for hospital orders in a fast-paced environment.

You will triage orders by date and time, pack products with the proper temperature control, and maintain accurate records. The role requires good customer service and communication skills, plus attention to detail and reliable data entry.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good computer skills and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
• Triage orders by date/time needed and ensure correct temperature regulation.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers and vendors; maintain product records.
• Perform inventory management and data entry related to manufacturing, labeling, storage and shipping.
• Identify and quarantine nonconforming products and perform disposition when needed.
