Job summary

United Utility Supply is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Distribution Operations to lead warehouse and dispatch operations across our distribution network. This role will drive safety, productivity, service levels, and inventory accuracy across multiple locations.

You will partner with leaders across the organization to support customer fulfillment, growth, and continuous improvement, while developing leaders and standardizing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
• Six+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Four+ years of multi-site leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse and distribution operations across multiple locations, including receiving, storage, material handling, shipping, order fulfillment, and dispatch.
• Collaborate with leadership, sales and procurement teams to meet customer needs.
• Direct, coach and develop warehouse leadership and supervisors at each location.
• Establish, standardize, and reinforce operating procedures for consistent execution.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and related standards.
• Oversee dispatch to support timely, accurate customer deliveries.
• Partner cross-functionally to support fulfillment, inbound material flow, and inventory accuracy.
• Monitor capacity, labor planning, productivity, budgets, and performance across all sites.
• Develop KPIs, analyze data, and implement corrective actions and improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and cost reduction.
