Role Purpose

The Distribution Operations Coordinator assists management with daily supply distribution operations, helps identify staffing constraints, and coordinates workloads and assignments. The role requires expertise in inventory and resource management systems (e.g., Wavemark, Atpar, FLICS, PeopleSoft) to oversee all par locations enterprise-wide. Ensuring standard work practices are communicated and followed across the system is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

1. Perform service audits, participate in customer service recovery, oversee departmental operations, and act as charge person in the supervisor’s absence.
2. Represent the department in supply distribution initiatives, attend meetings, collaborate with clinicians and system-wide staff, and communicate with clinical leads, supervisors, and management.
3. Maintain expertise on current and emerging inventory management technologies and share best practices with peers.
4. Support daily un-fill rate assessments for supply availability, working with purchasing, sourcing, utilization management, and vendors to ensure clinicians and patients have necessary supplies.
5. Coordinate the design, layout, and implementation of new par locations, including setup, item maintenance, and reporting for hospital renovations, new facilities, and operational changes.
