Role Purpose

The Distribution Operations Coordinator supports management in daily supply distribution operations, staffing, workload coordination, and serves as an expert in inventory and resource management systems (e.g., Wavemark, Atpar, FLICS, PeopleSoft). The role ensures standard work practices are communicated and followed system-wide.

Responsibilities

1. Performs service audits, manages customer service recovery, and oversees departmental operations in the supervisor’s absence.
2. Represents the department in supply distribution initiatives, attends meetings, collaborates with clinicians and system-wide staff, and communicates with departmental leads and management.
3. Maintains expertise in inventory management technologies, sharing best practices across the system.
4. Supports supply availability by working with purchasing, sourcing, utilization management, and vendors to meet clinicians' and patients' needs.
5. Coordinates the design, setup, and reporting of all new par locations during hospital renovations, new facilities, and operational changes.
