Wausau Supply Company is seeking a Material Handler Lead for the 2nd shift to support warehouse operations in the Illinois region. You will read orders, stock materials, and move items to production to keep lines running efficiently.

The role requires forklift operation, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1 year related experience.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.
• Willingness to work 10–12 hour shifts, Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities

• Read work-orders and perform tasks as assigned by management.
• Fully stock and locate materials in warehouse.
• Move materials to assemblers to keep production lines moving.
• Load trucks and operate forklift.
• Mentor Material Handlers and ensure accurate labeling.

What This Role Will Be Doing

Duties to include, (but not limited to):

• Reads work-orders and performs work as assigned by department management team
• Fully stocks and locates materials within the warehouse/production facility
• Responsible for movement of materials to assemblers to keep production lines moving in a timely manner
• Perform and oversee tasks associated with loading trucks which include forklift operations
• Act as a mentor to Material Handlers
• Attach appropriate labels, documents, tags to products and/or packages
• Maintain and meet daily production goals
• Perform general labor related tasks within the production facility
• Notify management of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Other duties as assigned

Material Handler Lead - 2nd Shift Demonstrates

• Ability to communicate effectively

• High level of detail and ability to determine adequate quality control
• Ability to work as part of a team

Education / Experience

• High school diploma and 1 year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Demands / Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds at those times when assistance is needed on production floor.
• Work schedule consists of Mon-Friday, working an anticipated 10-12 hour daily shift.
• When warranted, after hours availability is required as business demands dictate.
