Job summary

Wausau Supply Company in Schofield, Wisconsin seeks a Warehouse Material Handler (Non-Exempt FT) to support freight receipt, staging, and delivery operations. Responsibilities include picking, loading, unloading, and ensuring DOT compliance, with forklift duties as needed.

A Class A CDL with air brake endorsement and DOT medical/ drug tests are required. The role offers full-time hours, a dynamic warehousing environment, and opportunities for advancement within a 100% employee-owned company.

• Inspect trucks for defects and ensure loads comply with DOT regulations.
• Maintain driver logs and fulfill DOT inspection reports.
• Work flexible schedules and assist with loading/unloading as needed.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (not limited to)

• Use of hand held computer to receive incoming and outgoing freight
• Picking product for Customer Orders and staging for loading
• Loading orders on semi-trucks
• Unloading stock onto racking
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition to ensure truck is safe
• Check Load and secure to D.O.T. Regulations. Make sure the load is safe and legal before moving
• Drive truck safely and legally to customer locations and return
• Open curtains, unstrap product, count and check product for damage and shortages
• Assist receivers in unloading and loading the truck
• Maintains driver logs and inspection reports according to D.O.T. regulations
• Maintain a professional image at all times
• Must be able to be forklift certified to aid in loading, unloading, and general warehouse work
• Must be able to work flexible schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to able to hand lift 100 pounds occasionally, 70 pounds repetitively
• Products of 100 or more are lifted with forklift
• Able to obtain a D.O.T. medical card.
