Job summary

Wausau Supply Company seeks a Distribution Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations. You will pick and pack orders, load products onto trailers, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate documentation, operating forklifts and RF units, and contributing to team goals. Candidates should be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work from 12:00pm to 8:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience is a plus but not required – training will be provided.
• Forklift certification/prior warehouse experience is a plus but not required – training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety principles in all tasks.
• Pick and pack orders to ensure accuracy and proper loading.
• Ensure all orders are loaded correctly on trailers with complete documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and participate in safety programs and trainings.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklift and RF units.
• Support team goals and collaborate with colleagues to ensure successful operations.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING

• Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety
• Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded
• Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all documentation is complete so the orders can ship
• Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings
• Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, RF unit (hand‑held), etc.
• Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort
• Perform other duties assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or company mission

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

WORKING DEMANDS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time
• Able to work Monday through Friday, 12:00pm – 8:30pm or until completion
