Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Distribution Associate - Material Handler to operate trucks, move materials between facilities, and manage inventory across offsite warehouses. Key duties include cycle counts, staging inventory at cut lines, and using a scan gun/WMS for transactions.

Responsibilities

DISTRIBUTION ASSOCIATE - MATERIAL HANDLER

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Safely operates company owned/leased truck to shuttle material between facilities.
2. Loads and unloads product using pallet jack or forklift.
3. Performs cycle counts and physical inventories at offsite warehouses.
4. Coordinates with truck drivers who have scheduled pickups at offsite warehouses.
5. Pulls and stages FG inventory at the cut lines.
6. Unloads and stores incoming reels and FG inventory from truck s from supplier and manufacturing facility.
7. Performs inventory transactions using a scan gun or computer to ensure inventory accuracy.
8. Empties scrap containers, trash barrels and performs other housekeeping duties.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. Good physical condition, as you will be getting on and off forklift frequently.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
3. Excellent forklift driving skills.
4. Excellent driving record.
5. Basic computer skills.
6. Ability to work independently without constant direct supervision.
7. Ability to operate forklift, battery changer, banding equipment, dock boards, bolt cutters, pallet jacks, WMS platform, scan gun, calculator.
8. Must be at least 21 years old.
