Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Commercial and Retail Distribution Supervisor to lead our Delavan, WI distribution and logistics team. The role focuses on safe, accurate, and timely shipment execution for commercial and retail channels, while coordinating with production and planning to meet commitments.

You will manage daily operations, coach and develop a high-performing team, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and productivity in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience supervising distribution, warehouse, logistics, shipping, or supply chain activities, including leadership of non-exempt employees.
• Experience leading logistics or distribution operations within manufacturing, warehouse, or fulfillment environments.
• Proven coaching, mentoring, and development of teams while driving accountability and performance results.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional priorities with Production, Planning, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
• Lean, 5S/6S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools; formal Operational Excellence training or certification preferred.
• Ability to monitor and report on safety, quality, productivity, employee performance, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and customer service levels.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize warehouse space, improve material flow, and support growth initiatives.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SAP experience; OSHA certified equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily distribution and logistics operations, including shipping execution, workforce planning, carrier coordination, order prioritization, and outbound performance to meet customer and business requirements.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to foster employee growth, engagement, and accountability.
• Maintain a safe work environment with emphasis on safety programs, regulatory compliance, and accident-free work areas.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Operations to establish priorities, align resources, and meet customer commitments.
• Schedule and assign employees, track KPIs, review performance metrics, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Optimize warehouse layouts, inventory flow, and space utilization to support growth and efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to expand and improve shipping and distribution capabilities while enhancing productivity and service levels.
• Manage performance with clear expectations, feedback, and development planning; promote accountability and continuous improvement.
• Act as a change agent to improve logistics processes, warehouse organization, material flow, and operational effectiveness using Lean methods.
• Assist in team member selection, onboarding, training, succession planning, and talent development.
