Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Distribution Designer to perform designed construction, relocation and new business work for the distribution function. This on-site role at Weston Buckhannon Service Center, Weston, WV requires design expertise and customer liaison across projects.

Responsibilities include safety commitment, applying design standards, and coordinating with customers to document easements and regulatory permits. Travel and emergency support are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2 years related utility design experience.
• Able to interpret procedures, drawings and schematics accurately.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, CREWS, OMS and DDS software.
• Willing to work on-site and travel to various facilities as required.

Responsibilities

• Design overhead and underground layouts for residential, commercial and industrial requests.
• Support project progress with customer contacts, field work and documentation.
• Assist with billing, permits and regulatory requirements for line work.
• Coordinate outages, streetlight work, and emergency/storm-related activities.
• Maintain compliant records and reports for technical metrics and systems.
