Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Distribution Lines Designer to oversee designed construction of Joint Use attachments, supporting both field and desk work. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and strong customer interaction in a fast-paced utility environment.

Based in Greensburg, PA, with reports onsite at Greensburg or Reading locations, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver least-cost, environmentally sound solutions for required construction work and emergency response

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and direct a solid commitment to safety.
• Utilize FirstEnergy standards to complete overhead and underground designs for residential, commercial, and industrial requests.
• Support job progress through customer contacts, field work, and recordkeeping including material review.
• Facilitate billing functions for line extensions and relocation work as needed.
• Coordinate OMS follow-up, outages, and related field tasks.
• Acquire permits related to railroad, DOT, and municipal ROW.
• Collaborate with customers to secure easements for line extensions.
• Update and maintain compliant records for technical reports and metrics.
• Travel to off-site locations and participate in emergencies.
