Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Engineering Estimator to provide oversight for scoping, estimating, design and construction support for GRID Investment Program distribution projects. You will prepare complete estimates of material, labor and total costs and schedule construction to meet committed service dates, with field visits across the GPC footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology required.
• Experience in distribution design, construction, or maintenance required.
• Knowledge of estimating processes and software (JETS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost estimates for material, labor, and total project costs.
• Develop detailed project scopes and cost estimates with schedules.
• Coordinate easements, permits, and construction packages.
• Support storm restoration efforts and field work.
