Job summary

Primera Engineers is seeking a qualified electrical engineer to perform detailed design of overhead and underground distribution systems, including renewables, in our Chicago area office. You will document conditions with field walkdowns, prepare drawings, specs and calculations for Senior Engineer review, and ensure compliance with client standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (EIT a plus) and familiarity with three-phase power.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in electrical distribution design preferred.
• EIT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design overhead and underground electrical distribution systems and prepare drawings, specs and calculations for review.
• Ensure adherence to client and industry standards and coordinate design activities.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal teams and clients throughout the project.
• Contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented work culture.
