Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform system planning and circuit analysis for distribution circuits 15kV and below, and to develop remediation plans. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction within electric distribution facilities 69kV and below.

Key responsibilities include managing projects, facilitating renewable energy projects from 25kW to 5MW, and providing technical support to field engineers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar; power-related coursework preferred.
• EIT certification or PE registration preferred.
• Electrical engineering and project management experience preferred, recent grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, cost estimate, budget and manage projects related to new business, reliability, and maintenance for the electric system.
• Facilitate Renewable Energy Resources projects from 25kW to 5MW on the distribution system.
• Provide engineering support to field teams and perform power quality analysis.
• Meet with customers, architects, and contractors to interpret service requirements and provide rate and code guidance.
• Prepare load analysis for substations and feeders and develop remediation plans.
