HDR is seeking a Distribution Project Engineer to lead design packages for distribution overhead and underground lines, perform load flow and contingency analyses, and mentor EITs. This role spans Infrastructure, Renewables, and Industrial projects with travel to the Madison/Milwaukee area.
The position emphasizes lead engineering responsibilities, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and ensuring quality in design deliverables for utility-scale projects.
The primary duties of a Distribution Project Engineer include preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for distribution overhead and underground lines, performing load flow analysis, contingency analysis, and coordination studies. This Engineer will be seen as the Lead Engineer for projects, and the subject matter expert in their area of expertise. They will create full design packages across many different projects: Infrastructure, Renewables, Industrial, etc. They will also be expected to mentor newer EITs to grow their careers and capabilities.

The salary range in Minnesota is $85,260 – $121,800.
