Job summary

HDR is seeking a Distribution EIT in Seattle, WA to join our Power Delivery team. You will conduct analyses, develop design options, and prepare sketches under PM guidance, contributing to reliable electrical distribution systems.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor's in engineering, 2+ years' distribution design experience, knowledge of NESC, and familiarity with CYMCAP, ETAP and SKM. We value clear communication and cross-discipline collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of distribution design experience.
• Experience with overhead and underground distribution system analysis and design.
• Experience with lighting design, distribution field staking, joint-use-field review.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
• Proficient with CYMCAP, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
• Conduct analyses to develop design options, perform modeling and calculations, and prepare design sketches.
• Develop construction drawings with Designers and CAD Technicians according to standards and project specifications and requirements.
• Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications.
• Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
• Occasional short-term travel (1-5 days); longer assignments may be required infrequently.
• Work across disciplines within Power Delivery to meet dynamic client needs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
