Ingram Content Group in Lavergne, TN is seeking a Distribution Driver to join our Distribution Operations team. You will load, deliver and unload products for over-the-road routes, driving 250–300 miles per day in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a physical exam. This position offers on-site work with benefits starting on day one and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license and evidence of a good driving record.
1 year work experience in at least one previous job.
6 months work experience in a job title of "Driver" in a warehouse or production environment.
6 months work experience in a warehouse or production environment within the last 2 years.
6 months work experience which included walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard.

Responsibilities

Loads, delivers and unloads product for the over the road operation of delivery vans in a safe and efficient manner.
Completes necessary paperwork and maintains standards.
Operates van to transport orders to off site locations driving between 250 and 300 miles daily.
Signs out vans, completes safety checklists daily, and reports any unsafe condition to supervisor.
Loads and unloads the vans.
Verifies contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
Obeys traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation procedures.
Reports delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to supervisor or destination using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
Reads maps and follows written and verbal geographic directions.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift
Ability to pass physical examination that includes testing for satisfactory vision (distance, peripheral, and depth perception), hearing, and blood pressure/pulse exams for safe operation of motorized equipment
Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 70lbs during the assigned shift – 30lbs or less continuously, 50lbs frequently, and 70lbs occasionally
Ability to push/pull in a warehouse environment up to 70lbs force to push during the assigned shift – 1-50lbs continuously and 51-70lbs occasionally
Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift
Ability to bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift
Ability to work designated shift including overtime as required, which could include time before or after the designated shift and/or weekends
Exposure to wide range of temperatures
Reading comprehension skills up to high school level
Writing skills up to high school level
Math skills – basic arithmetic, addition, subtraction
Attention to detail
Ability to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environment
Ability to determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed on equipment
Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment
