Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Distribution Dispatching Supervisor to lead a team of dispatchers on a rotating shift, ensuring safe and reliable operation, dispatching, and restoration for a portion of the distribution system. You will coordinate outages, develop switching instructions, implement normal and emergency procedures, and supervise surveillance of voltages, loadings, and security.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in electrical/electronic technology or related technical discipline with 3 years distribution operations experience
• Minimum of 7 years of distribution dispatching experience with a thorough knowledge of distribution systems and equipment and proper switching and tagging procedures
• Thorough knowledge of distribution systems and equipment, and proper switching and tagging procedures. Acceptable written and verbal communications skills

What You’ll Do

Compensation Data Compensation Grade: SP20-009 Compensation Range: $116,255.00 - $151,132.50
