Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Distribution Designer to work in Arizona or the Southwest, supporting distribution engineering teams with detailed overhead and underground designs. You will prepare field notes, drawings, and specifications while ensuring compliance with codes and prudent design practices.

The role requires independent work on fast-paced projects, coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, and site visits to support construction through to closeout.

Qualifications

• Drafting diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent discipline, or Associate's degree + eight years' drafting/design experience (two as Designer).
• High proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office; experience with ProjectWise is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for overhead and underground distribution systems.
• Coordinate design activities to meet schedules, budgets and quality.
• Perform site visits, estimations, and project meetings; produce design packages and specifications.
