Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Distribution Designer to support projects involving overhead and underground distribution electrical facilities, working with utilities and private developers. The role emphasizes precision, GIS and CAD tooling, and adherence to utility standards.

The candidate will handle residential, small commercial, and larger distribution tasks, contributing to system improvements and storm planning. Atwell offers a comprehensive benefits program and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Knowledge of NESC, ArcFM GIS, SAP and Work Manager Software for overhead and underground work.
Experience on distribution, transmission, system improvement projects, substation design, service design, and switch replacements.
1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Design overhead and underground distribution electrical and gas facilities for residential and small commercial projects.
Conduct load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and system capacity evaluations.
Coordinate with field crews, engineers, permitting agencies, and clients.
Verify as-built conditions in GIS/AUD and correct discrepancies in submissions.
