Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is seeking a Dist Designer Helper to support distribution design, field surveys, and project drafting. The role involves learning to design overhead primary and secondary facilities, preparing drawings and estimates, and coordinating with customers and Entergy departments.

The position emphasizes safety, adherence to codes, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Onsite work in Conroe, TX with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Three years field operations experience (Transmission Line or Substation, Distribution Line or Service, Field Metering or Gas Distribution)
• Two year Technical Associate Degree in a related field from an accredited school and 2 years related work experience
• A minimum of 60 College hours toward a 4 year degree in a related field from an accredited school and 2 years related work experience
• Four year Technical Degree in a related field from an accredited school and worked 1 year as a Distribution Designer or related work

Responsibilities

• Design overhead primary and secondary facilities (Pole jobs, Internal jobs, Revenue).
• Coordinate assigned projects with Entergy departments and personnel.
• Communicate with customers to discuss and determine requirements and provide service options.
• Follow Entergy safety practices and participate in safety meetings.
