Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is seeking a Distribution Designer/Sr. to design overhead primary and secondary facilities, conduct field investigations, prepare drawings and estimates, and coordinate with multiple Entergy departments.

This role requires navigating right of way processes, safety adherence, and mentoring junior staff, with travel up to 25%. The position emphasizes customer interaction, design accuracy, and compliance with Entergy standards, supporting complex projects and ensuring timely

Qualifications

Must meet all qualifications of Engineering Helper or one of the following
One year field operations experience OR Two Year Technical Associate Degree OR 60 College hours toward a 4 year degree
Experience requirements mention distribution/field operations roles

Responsibilities

Meet regularly with external/internal customers to discuss and determine requirements and negotiate facilities layout and service dates
Conduct field investigations and evaluate service alternatives; prepare construction drawings and estimates
Communicate and coordinate projects with Entergy departments and personnel
Design construction including external/internal customers, reliability, and section type projects
Interpret tariffs, policies, and CIAC processes
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff
Follow Entergy safety practices and attend safety meetings
