Job summary

ENERCON's Power Delivery group seeks a Distribution Engineer in Tampa, FL to lead design and compliance efforts for electrical distribution projects. You will provide technical guidance, review work product for quality, and collaborate with clients and regulators to ensure robust, compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years in power delivery, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years Power Delivery experience.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution system design engineering standards and practices.
• Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes and standards.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Willingness to learn and operate client-provided programs and systems.
• Ability to work effectively with a team.
• Ability to travel up to 20–25% to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Design & Compliance: Ensure designs meet client, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Quality Assurance: Review designs for consistency, quality, and adherence to standards.
• Communication & Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory counterparts.
• Leadership & Adaptability: Guide teams, manage workloads, and maintain production in changing conditions.
